There are moments in life when the weight of the world feels unbearable, and the darkness seems endless. But in these very moments, hope can be found in the most unexpected places—often in the words of someone who has walked a similar path. At Jaano Junction, we believe in the power of shared stories, especially those that speak to the raw, real, and deeply human experience of struggling with mental health.

As we observe Suicide Prevention Month, we know that healing begins when we open up, when we share the battles we’ve fought and the scars we’ve earned. In telling your story, you may provide the light someone else needs to keep going, to hold on, and to find strength in their survival.

SOS : Stories of Survival

This is why we are launching "SOS: Stories of Survival" campaign, a space for those who have faced mental health challenges to come forward and share their journey. Whether you’re still finding your way or have come through the other side, your voice can give hope to others who may feel lost and alone.

We invite you to share your story with us.
Tell us about the moment when everything seemed too much—what was your S.O.S moment? How did you call for help, find your strength, or simply hold on to survive?

These are the stories that inspire others to keep fighting.

What We’re Looking For:

We are asking for stories that reflect the human experience—stories of resilience, survival, and recovery in the face of mental health challenges. Some examples include:

  • Personal experiences with depression, anxiety, or other mental health struggles

  • Recovery journeys, whether ongoing or completed, highlighting the highs and lows

  • Moments of resilience, even in the smallest of victories

  • Advice or insight for those who may be experiencing something similar

Every story matters. Your journey, whether triumphant or ongoing, has the potential to become a lifeline for someone else.

How Your Story Can Help?

There is incredible power in vulnerability. By sharing your story, you are not only offering hope, but also showing others that they are not alone in their struggles. A shared experience can bridge the gap between isolation and understanding, offering solace and strength in ways that words alone often cannot.

Your story could be the reason someone holds on, the reason they find the courage to seek help, or the reason they choose life. Whether you’ve fully recovered or are still in the process of healing, your survival is a testament to the strength that lives within all of us.

Why Contribute?

Your story will be featured on Jaano Junction’s Citizen Junction column, a space dedicated to amplifying YOUR VOICE. Citizen Junction is more than just a platform; it’s a community of voices, where your real-life experiences are shared to inspire, support, and uplift others.
