Yashasvi  Jaiswal, the young and inspiring cricketing talent of India, is all set to make his debut for the Indian men’s cricket team today in Dominica against the West Indies.

The team India opener and captain Rohit Sharma confirmed the same in an un-official interview, mentioning that “We (the team-India set-up) were desperately looking for a left-hander and we found a really good player in Jaiswal and he looks promising”.

An inspiring tale of Jaiswal

It is being said that Jaiswal is getting this opportunity after a lot of hard work and making a lot of runs in the domestic cricket, but behind all this hard work there is a lot of struggle which the cricketer has gone through.

In a short-span of time Jaiswal has gone through a lot of struggles in his early life. In a video interview Jaiswal shares his life story where he tells that how he has struggled a lot for reaching the position where he is now. He starts by saying “My father told me, if you want to play cricket, you will have to live alone and sometimes I use to feel alone because it is never easy to live alone."

For pursuing cricket he shifted from U.P., to the city of dreams Mumbai. Initially, he used to live with his uncle, then he decided to shift himself to somewhere else but was asked to leave from there also. Then he started living with a person who was near to the ground and with that he started selling Pani-puri (an Indian food) for earning money for his daily needs.

In between all this he used to practice regularly so that one-day the hardwork pays-off.

The turning point in his life

The turning point in his life came after he was selected for the U-19 World-Cup in 2020 in South Africa, where he emerged as the highest run scorer for India in that tournament.

After this Rajasthan Royals bought him in the IPL auction for 2020 season and from there till now there is no looking back for Yashasvi and as a result he is going to make debut for India.

What are the expectations from him?

The expectations from Jaiswal are going to be very high as he has an amazing domestic record and is also in a great patch of form from the IPL this year.
