Neeraj Chopra bagged silver with a a distance of 89.45m on his second attempt as Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record with a 92.97m effort and won the gold medal.

Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem has won the gold medal with his best throw being 92.97m that came in the second attempt. In his final attempt, Nadeem got a distance of 91.79m. This is the first-ever individual gold medal for Pakistan in Olympics.

Other than Chopra, only three Indians have won multiple medals at the Olympics including wrestler Sushil Kumar (silver, bronze), shuttler PV Sindhu (silver, bronze) and Manu Bhaker (two bronze medals).
