Veteran Indian cricket team leg spinner Amit Mishra spoke about the differences in nature between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. In a show with Youtuber Shubhankar Mishra, he mentioned that “fame and power” have changed Virat Kohli’s nature. He further said he has good jovial relations with Captain Rohit Sharma and is unchanged despite having “fame and power.”

“The former has fewer friends due to his changing nature,” said Amit Mishra in a show Unplugged by Youtuber Shubhankar Mishra. People with great fame and power think people contact them for some reason, which has led to fewer friends, and we have stopped talking.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the backbone of the Indian cricket team, and they ended their career T20I together with a historic win at the T20 World Cup 2024. Though they have a big stardom and fanbase, Mishra does not have the same equation as both of them. Speaking about his relationship with current captain Rohit Sharma, he said even if he meets him in the IPL or any other event, Rohit keeps joking with him, and despite winning the World Cup and five IPL titles, he is the same person I met on the first day. But Virat’s attitude keeps changing with time.

The host brought up the old quote by Yuvraj Singh, in which Yuvraj said that there is a lot of difference between Cheeku and Virat Kohli. Virat's attitude changed after he became captain and the success he got. Mishra said, “I have known Cheeku since he was 14 and used to crave samosas and pizzas. There’s a huge difference between Cheeku and Virat Kohli. Now, when I meet him, I respect him as a cricketer, but relations are not the same anymore as we have stopped talking.”
