It's the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 as France, Spain, England and the Netherlands battle it out to make it to the final in Berlin on July 14. Spain have been in sensational form throughout the competition as they have abandoned their tiki-taka approach for a new aggressive one. They defeated hosts Germany 2-1 in extra-time to make it to the semi-finals, where they will take on Kylian Mbappe and France.
The French side came into the competition as one of the favourites, but the journey hasn't been a smooth one so far. France are yet to score an open goal in the competition and became the first team in the history of the competition to make it to the last four stage in this fashion. France defeated Portugal on penalties to set up the clash with Spain, which will kickstart the last four stage on July 9.
England have been heavily criticised throughout the competition, with fans unhappy with Gareth Southgate and his tactics so far. After their 1-0 win against Serbia, the Three Lions had 2 draws in the group stages and need to beat Slovakia in extra-time. They would then script a comeback win over Switzerland via penalties. The Netherlands, on the other hand, didn't have the best of campaigns in the group stages. The Dutch team thrashed Romania 3-0 in the Round of 16 and edged past Turkiye 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
With the matches fully set, we can expect some high-octane football over the next two days. The final will be played on July 14 in Berlin.
