An UPSC aspirant preparing for the Civil Service Examination in New Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar was found hanging from a tree on September 20. Deepak, a resident of Dausa in Rajasthan, had cleared the preliminary stage, and was about to give the UPSC Mains examination.
According to the police, Deepak had been missing since September 11, and his body was discovered nine days later, on September 20.
There was no suicide note found at the scene, and preliminary investigations suggest no signs of foul play.
The Delhi Police reviewed CCTV footage which showed Deepak walking towards the Dussehra Ground alone.
A post-mortem has been done, and the police are awaiting the official report to confirm the cause of death.
Last month, a civil services aspirant died by suicide in New Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar, allegedly due to depression and inability to handle pressure.
In her suicide note, she urged the government to "reduce scams in government exams" and "generate employment," and said she was stressed over increasing housing rent.
