A Karnataka court sent suspended Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna to judicial custody till June 24 in connection with rape and molestation cases.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the case, didn't seek any further custody as it completed spot inquest on Monday morning.
Prajwal had left the country in April for Germany as the sex tapes case came to light. Several lookout notices were issued against him at all immigration points around the world. He returned to Bengaluru on May 31 and was arrested by the SIT team. Following his arrest, he was sent to police custody till June 6.
A team of all-women cops, led by a woman IPS officer, were sent to arrest the former JD(S) MP from Hassan, in what looked like a symbolic message by the Karnataka SIT, as soon as he landed on May 31. As many as five women police officers arrested Prajwal.
