Akhilesh Yadav attacked the Uttar Pradesh government over the steps taken by the UP government in the Ayodhya gang rape case, in which the police arrested one of the local leaders of the Samajwadi party. The leader of the Samajwadi party, Akhilesh Yadav, expressed disappointment over the ruling party's thinking about Muslims; he said that their thinking is “undemocratic and unconstitutional.” Akhilesh Yadav targeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by saying, A yogi can’t be a yogi “if he doesn’t believe in the constitution.”

According to ANI, Mr. Yadav mentioned that the ruling party only knows how to build conspiracy and negatively portrays one community or religion. He said, "The BJP wants to start a conspiracy before the elections. Their aim from the very first day has been to defame the socialists, and especially their thinking about Muslims is undemocratic and unconstitutional. If a 'Yogi' does not believe in democracy or the Constitution, he cannot be a 'Yogi'.”

Akhilesh Yadav also reacted to the actions taken by the UP government in the majority of rape cases registered in India, such as the Hathras case and the Lucknow molestation case, and even mentioned the arrest of a local Samajwadi party leader in the Ayodhya case and the demand for his DNA test in Ayodhya’s case.

"I want to give you examples of three incidents. The first incident is Hathras, in which the BJP MLAs and leaders had written for permission for a Sadhu program. But the administration did not make arrangements properly, and as a result, a large number of people lost their lives. Secondly, you must have seen in Gomti Nagar that the police had given the entire list, but the CM and the government of the BJP want the police to become workers of the BJP. When the police gave the list of all the names, then why did the CM take only the names of Yadavs and Muslims?" he told ANI about the incidents and actions.

Yadav strictly explained the instances that happened while arresting the leader in Ayodhya and justified them by saying that he was arrested because he belonged to the Yadav community. The leader also explained that whenever the government returns and takes the place of higher authority, they will take strict action against the officers working for the BJP government.

"The name of the Yadav that was taken indicates that he was not there in the camera footage. He had gone to have tea, and the police found Yadav, so he was sent to jail. I want to tell you that for people who are violating the law and working as workers of the BJP, whenever the Samajwadi Party government comes, action will also be taken against such officers," he said.

The opposition leader commented on the topic of the DNA test of the rape victim, on which he explained that the government of UP has already amended the law in 2023, which explained that the DNA tests will be conducted in crimes that have punishment over seven years. "Then what is wrong with this demand?

Their family members are also saying it, and the police know the truth... No matter how much they do, the public has no hope from them," he added. Akhilesh Yadav also extended his support to the Muslim brothers on the fact that the BJP government is planning to amend the ‘Waqf law,’ in which he even accused the BJP government of only doing works that are against the Muslim community.
