Swami Avimukteshwaranand, who is the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, has expressed his disapproval over the foundation of the new Kedarnath temple in Delhi. Other than him, many priests in the Kedarnath Temple are protesting against the development of the new Kedarnath temple in New Delhi, which is among the 12th Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Shankaracharya reacted furiously when asked about the development of a new Kedarnath temple in the capital region, where he accused that “there is a gold scam in Kedarnath. Why is that issue not being raised? After a scam there, now they want to build Kedarnath in Delhi, leading to another scam. 228 kilograms of gold are missing from Kedarnath, and no inquiry has started. Who is responsible for this? Now they say they will build a Kedarnath in Delhi; this cannot happen.”

Swami Avimukteshwaranand raised concerns about the gold scam in the Kedarnath temple, where 228 kilograms of gold are missing, and no officials or governments have raised the issue and talked about the concern. In fact, now the people are wondering if they can make a new Kedarnath temple in New Delhi, which can simply not happen as it is against our culture. The foundation stone ceremony for the new Kedarnath temple was done on July 10, in which the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami, also participated.

Shankaracharya, who met the former CM of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, on Monday, said that he will again become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and that he has been swindled. “All of us are followers of Sanatana Dharma. We have a definition of 'Paap' and 'Punya'. The biggest sin is betrayal. Uddhav Thackeray has been deceived. I told him that all of us were pained by the betrayal he had to face. Our pain will not be relieved until he becomes the CM of Maharashtra again," he said. The priest indirectly attacked and said that a person who performs duplicity cannot represent themselves as Hindu.

"The one who bears it is a Hindu. The people of Maharashtra are pained by it, and it was also visible in the elections. This is also disrespectful to the people who choose their leader. It is wrong to break a government in between and insult the public mandate," he added.

The Shankaracharya and priests of Kedarnath temple strongly oppose the building of the new Kedarnath Dham in New Delhi, as it would welcome many scams, just like the gold scam in Kedarnath temple.
