The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bsihnoi. Also known as 'Bhanu', Anol Bishnoi fled India on a fake passport, was spotted in Kenya last year and in Canada this year.
He is wanted for his involvement in the murder of Punjab singer Sidhu Mossewala in 2022. Anmol Bishnoi has 18 cases registered against him.
Earlier, Mumbai police issued a lookout circular against him in connection with the firing outside Khan's residence on April 14 after he claimed responsibility for the incident on social media.
The Mumbai Police said that Anmol Bishnoi was also in touch with shooters who killed NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique outside his son's office on October 12.
The 66-year-old NCP leader was shot dead by three men while he was bursting crackers on the occasion of Dussehra. The police said that Anmol Bishnoi was in direct touch with the accused and used the social media application Snapchat to remain in touch with the accused while he was operating from Canada and the US.
He also shared an image of Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan Siddique with the accused through the application. Through a Facebook post, a member of the Bishnoi gang claimed that they targeted Siddique due to his close relationship with actor Salman Khan and alleged links to underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim.
So far, police have arrested 10 individuals in connection with Baba Siddique's murder, including two shooters and an arms supplier.
