Noida man shot in car was Air India crew member, gang war angle emerges
Suraj Mann, the man who was shot dead in broad daylight in Noida on Friday, was an Air India crew member, police sources told India Today. Two people were arrested by the Noida Police on Saturday in connection with the case. The shooters had fired five rounds of bullets at Mann.
The two arrested were identified as Dheeraj Mann and Mannu.
Suraj Mann was the brother of gangster Parvesh Mann who is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail, police sources said. Parvesh has links to the Neeraj Bawana gang and police are investigating whether his brother's death was the result of a gang war.
Parvesh Mann had been engaged in a gang war with a man named Kapil Kallu for years. Kallu, who is also currently behind bars, is associated with the Gogi gang.
Sources said Kapil Kallu wanted to avenge his father's death and speculations are rising that the shooters who attacked Parvesh Mann's brother were sent by Kallu.
Suraj Mann had left Delhi and shifted to Noida as he felt it was safer than the national capital. However, he was shot by bike-borne men on Friday.
