In the case of television and binge watchers, usually international offerings have provided content based on stock markets and financial crises. Now, they will get to watch an exciting series ft. ‘Life and Times of RBI’. The Reserve Bank of India (Central Bank of India), established in 1935, is going to celebrate its 90-year landmark by launching a five-episode web series with each episode lasting 25–30 minutes. The five-episode series will soon be aired on national television as well as on different OTT platforms.

Last week, RBI submitted a tender offering proposals from various production houses, TV, and other OTT platforms in order to manage the production of the series and all the tasks from pre-production to post-production. Similarly, other banks, such as the Fed, the Bank of England, and the European Central Bank, have launched some documentaries during their working hours. Now, the Reserve Bank of India is all set to launch its series with the purpose of boosting transparency, building a sense of credibility and trust among citizens, and ensuring complex financial concepts are clear through visual-compelling narratives, storytelling, and interviews.

Although an ample amount of content is available, it is also being documented in other publications. The drama included government periodic fights, security scams, payment crises while working in a bank, etc. The enticing series will emerge as a communication tool for RBI in order to support policy announcements, fostering public engagement and understanding as well. The plan includes research, consistent narrative development, and other production standards. As stated in the tender, the applicants have to manage all tasks related to the series distribution on TV and OTT platforms for a wider reach and audience engagement.

Meanwhile, RBI also mentioned that the authorized bidders must be Indian organizations or institutions with at least five years of experience and have completed five projects for government sectors like BFSI in the previous years. It is going to be interesting to watch this web series.
