A Japanese travel vlogger was amazed by the stunning Terminal 2 (T2) of Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) and shared her experience in a video on Instagram.
Upon landing, Kiki Chen explored the terminal, captivated by its lounge, waiting areas, and vibrant food joints.
"India’s best airport terminal! Everything built with bamboo—even the check-in counters," she wrote in the post's caption.
“Can't believe I was in the airport in India,” the text on the video read.
Kempegowda International Airport's Terminal 2 has been recognised as one of the world’s most beautiful airport terminals by UNESCO’s Prix Versailles, a prestigious architectural awards jury based in Paris.
The terminal received the distinguished ‘Special Prize for an Interior’ for its exceptional design.
Built at a cost of approximately Rs 5,000 crore, T2 is a tribute to Bengaluru, the garden city, offering passengers a serene experience akin to a “walk in the garden.”
Passengers get to travel through 10,000+ sq metres of green walls, hanging gardens and outdoor gardens and all of these were made in India using indigenous technology.
