In a shocking incident that has alarmed residents of Pushkardham Society in Gujarat's Jamnagar, a dead frog was discovered in a packet of wafers. Jasmin Patel, who resides on street no 5 of Pushkardham Society, experienced the unpleasant surprise after purchasing the packet yesterday.

Patel bought the wafers and had consumed half of them the previous night. However, it wasn't until the next morning that the unsettling discovery was made. Patel's daughter opened the packet and was horrified to find a dead frog inside. Alarmed by the finding, Patel promptly contacted the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation Food Branch to report the incident.

Food Branch officials responded quickly, visiting Patel's home to inspect the packet. Upon confirming the presence of the dead frog, they took samples of the contaminated wafers along with other wafers from the same batch for testing. The officials aim to determine how the contamination occurred and to ensure the safety and quality of food products available to consumers.

Balaji Wafers manager Jai Sachdev has responded with a statement. "Our plant is completely automatic, even any bad potato is removed, so this frog issue cannot be accepted. We will get an investigation done in this regard. Our aim is to provide hygienic products to the people," the statement said.
