A full emergency was declared at Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram airport on Thursday after Air India flight 657 from Mumbai received a bomb threat. The aircraft was immediately taken to the isolation bay after it landed around 8 am and all the passengers were evacuated.

The Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram Air India flight had 135 passengers and crew members.

Sources told PTI that the bomb threat was communicated by the Air India pilot as the aircraft approached the Thiruvananthapuram airport. The aircraft is being inspected, and an investigation has been launched into the origin of the threat.
