A Hindu temple was vandalised in Canada's Edmonton, with graffiti painted on the walls.
Following the incident, the Vishva Hindu Parishad in Canada condemned it and called on the government of Canada to act against the growing extremist ideology.
"VHP Canada strongly denounces Hinduphobic graffiti & vandalism at BAPS Mandir in Edmonton," the organisation wrote in an X post.
"We urge all levels of Government in Canada to act decisively against the growing extremist ideology propelling hate against peace loving Hindu community in our country," it added.
This is not the first instance where a temple has been defaced with such graffiti in the recent past by Khalistani separatists.
Khalistan supporters have increased their anti-India activities after the death of Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
