During the Birmingham stop of Diljit Dosanjh's ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour, fans were treated to a surprise appearance by British singer Ed Sheeran. The two performed together, bringing back memories of earlier this March when Diljit supported Ed during his concert in Mumbai. The reunion quickly became a sensation online.
On September 23, both Diljit and Ed shared a joint Instagram reel capturing a memorable moment from the Punjabi singer’s Birmingham concert. Clad in an all-white outfit, Diljit hyped up the crowd in his signature Punjabi style, shouting, "Ed Sheeran aa gaya oye" (Ed Sheeran has arrived), to the audience’s excitement. Ed then made his entrance on stage, dressed in a black T-shirt, dark grey track pants, and light orange sneakers.
Ed also shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “Returning the favour to my brother @diljitdosanjh tonight in Birmingham, what an amazing atmosphere, thanks for having me! (sic).”
The video featured Ed Sheeran strumming his guitar and performing his hit track Shape of You before being joined by Diljit Dosanjh. The Indian pop star surprised the crowd by blending Shape of You with his own chart-topping song Naina from the film Crew. The duo sang the mashup while seated together and wrapped up their performance with a warm embrace, leaving the audience thrilled.
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh will commence his Dil-Luminati tour in India in October. The much-awaited tour will kickstart in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 26, followed by concerts in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
