Actress Swara Bhaskar announced on Tuesday (June 6) that she is expecting her first child with politician-husband Fahad Ahmed. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor shared the news on Twitter and also tagged Ahmed, who is the state president of the Samajwadi Party’s youth wing – Samajwadi Yuvan Sabha. Swara told her fans that the baby is born in October.
She tweeted, “Sometimes all your prayers are answered! Blessed, grateful, excited (and unknown!) as we step into a whole new world! @FahadZirarAhmad #comingsoon #Family #Newarrival #gratitude #OctoberBaby .” The couple can be seen cheering on their soon-to-be bundle of joy in a carousel of two pictures. Pictures shared by Swara and her husband Ahmed posing together on a rooftop with the latter holding her baby bump.
Swara and Fahad Ahmed tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in February this year. The two had a registered court marriage in January this year, after which traditional wedding ceremonies took place in Delhi in the presence of their loved ones. The couple shared some dreamy pictures of their celebrations, which included pre-wedding festivities like Haldi, Sangeet, Mehndi ceremonies and Carnatic vocal singing. Their wedding ceremony was attended by some famous names from the political circuit including Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor and Arvind Kejriwal.
Swara and Fahad met each other during the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill protests in 2019. In February, when she officially announced her union with Fahadh, she shared a video that gave fans a glimpse into the timeline of their relationship.
Sharing the video, she wrote, “Sometimes you search far and wide for something that is so close to you. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other. Found it! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!”
Bhaskar was last seen in the buddy comedy film ‘Jahan Char Yaar’.
