Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan leads the list of celebrity taxpayers in India for the financial year 2024. Thalapathy Vijay ranks second, surpassing other prominent figures such as Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.
According to Fortune India, Shah Rukh Khan paid Rs 92 crore in taxes for FY24. Thalapathy Vijay contributed Rs 80 crore, while Salman Khan paid Rs 75 crore. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is in fourth place with a tax payment of Rs 71 crore, followed by Virat Kohli, who paid Rs 66 crore.

Mohanlal and Allu Arjun each paid Rs 14 crore in taxes. Pankaj Tripathi and Katrina Kaif each contributed Rs 11 crore this year.
In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan had a successful year with three major films: 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'. 'Jawan' earned Rs 643.87 crore domestically, while 'Pathaan' grossed Rs 543.05 crore. Although Dunki did not match the earnings of the other two, it still made Rs 212.42 crore.
Thalapathy Vijay also had a notable year with his film GOAT, which created a buzz at the box office. Additionally, his film Leo was a major success in 2023.
