Hollywood singer Katy Perry is reportedly set to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pe-wedding party in Cannes on May 31. The celebrity is flying to Cannes in France to perform at a masquerade ball on Friday evening.
As per reports by The Sun, Katy Perry is ‘banking millions’ to serenade the couple at the bash named La Vite E Un Viaggio. The international outlet quoted an inside source detailing the singer’s performance. “They have invited 800 guests currently on a space-themed cruise around Europe, with stops in Barcelona and Genoa. It will arrive in Cannes on Friday for the big bash, which will be at a pound 40 million estate. The party will only last five hours, but Katy will headline it, with a DJ also being flown in as part of the top-tier entertainment,” the source said.
The source further added, "Afterwards, guests will watch a huge fireworks display from a small armada of ships waiting in the Bay of Cannes."
Other than this, international DJ David Guetta set the party tone with his performance during the cruise party.
Earlier, a video of the popular band Backstreet Boys’ performance from a cruise had emerged online. The viral clip featured the Backstreet Boys, consisting of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson in all-white outfits, performing their popular track ‘I Wanna Be With You’ for a huge audience on the cruise.
Katy’s performance comes almost three months after the business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani had invited singer Rihanna to perform at son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s first pre-wedding bash in India, which lasted three days and was attended by Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates.
Meanwhile, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will get married on July 12, as per their ‘Save the date’ wedding invitation released on Thursday, May 30. The extravagant affair, spanning over three days, will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
