Online rumours concerning the box office take have been observed, but Kajol's comments about Pathaan's take may have stoked the fire. The Trail's actor was asked to divulge a question she would put to SRK in an interview.

Speaking to Bollywood Spy in the meantime, Kajol expressed her happiness for Shah Rukh Khan. "I'm incredibly pleased for him. I'm genuinely delighted. I messaged him as well, telling him that I was overjoyed to learn of this. A huge hug and extreme happiness for him. I believe it to be a new stage and era for him, and I couldn't be happier for him. I believe he is and always will be the king.
