Singer AP Dhillon has shared that he is safe after gunshots were fired outside his Canada home on Sunday, September 1.

In an Instagram post, the singer wrote, "I'm safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Your support means everything. Peace and love to all (sic)."

Sources told media on Monday that gunfire was heard near the Punjabi singer and rapper's house in Vancouver, Canada, on the night of September 1.

The Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang claimed responsibility for the shootings. The gang also threatened AP Dhillon, referencing his alleged connections with Bollywood actor Salman Khan, and warned him to "stay within his limits, or he will meet a 'dog's death.'"

AP Dhillon recently appeared in a music video, titled 'Old Money' with Salman Khan.

After sharing an update about his safety, the singer-rapper, Amritpal Dhillon, better known as AP Dhillon or simply AP, also posted a video of himself singing.

The Canada-based Indian musician is currently one of the world’s biggest Punjabi pop stars. His remarkable journey from a small village in Punjab, Gurdaspur, to the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, where he became a celebrated global music sensation, was documented in Prime Video's 'AP Dhillon: First of a Kind'.
