Releasing on the same day as Oppenheimer, Barbie, is fantasy-comedy-entertainment film, directed by Greta Gerwig and screenplay by Noah Baumbach.
The movie is based on a fictional story being made out from the Barbie dolls and Barbie animation series.
What is the story of Barbie?
The story of the movie is all about Barbie (played by Margot Robbie) who comes from the Barbie World into the real world because of some malfunctioning and existential Crisis that Barbie faces due to a fault in her design. The movie revolves around how Barbie lives in the real world.
Before the release of the movie, it was being said that this movie would not be able to make such an impact on the audience because of the movie Oppenheimer as its competition. But, the movie has performed extremely well and has got much better response in India as the movie has succeeded in attracting the audience towards their film.
A twitter user shared their view about the movie on twitter by saying that “10/10 movie I recommend everyone to watch it”.
"Gloria’s monologue in Barbie was so painfully relatable and accurate….”, another tweeted.
One more viewer was seen praising the Actor Ryan Gosling (who played Ken) by tweeting “Ryan Gosling on his role as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s #BarbietheMovie “It’s the Role, I was born to play” And didn’t he live up to that statement, what a performance by Bhim.”
Barbie The Movie has a childhood connection with today’s youth with its iconic animation series. But the movie gives a viewer a roller-coaster ride of comedy and emotion which leaves behind a feel-good factor in the minds of people for the movie.
Similar to Oppenheimer, Barbie is aslo expected to earn quite well in the coming weekend. Most Bollywood and other Indian hyped films are scheduled to be released later in August, the July slot is going to remain vacant and this can be a great chance for Barbie to perform even better.
