Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been hospitalised in Mumbai. The 81-year-old Bollywood megastar has been taken to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri West area. A source informed News18.com that Amitabh was “treated for peripheral, and not coronary heart.” “An angioplasty was performed on a clot in his leg, and not on his heart,” the source further stated. More details about Amitabh’s health are awaited.
Big B shared a post on X, previously known as Twitter, just an hour before News18.com learnt about his hospitalisation. He wrote, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever.” He also shared a video from his recent appearance at an ISPL on his social media platform.
“T 4950 – Aankh kholke dekh lo, kaan lagake sun lo, Majhi Mumbai ki hogi Jai Jaikaar, yeh baat ab maanlo,” he wrote as he shared a video featuring some memorable moments with son Abhishek Bachchan during the match.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan had undergone a surgery for his wrist earlier this year. Taking to his blog in January this year, Amitabh wrote, “The ISPL, as has been promoted and delivered in adverts, is well on its way to fructification and all the owners and the members that are involved, were needed to be in immortalised picture frames. So yes, a photo cum meet shoot .. a very quick in and out between the evening hours .. with our friends and colleagues .. such a joy .. Akshay, one of the owners .. and an explanation to him about the surgery on my hand.” Despite his surgery, Amitabh shot for his upcoming projects.
In the recent few years, the veteran star has also dabbled with Covid-19 and had revealed last year that he has a few medical restrictions that prevented him from travelling to San Diego for 2023 Comic Con. He was supposed to join the team of Kalki 2989 AD for the poster launch.
