After several delays, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold a retest for approximately 1,000 CUET UG candidates on July 19. This decision came after the NTA released a provisional answer key on July 7, stating they would retest if any exam issues reported by students were confirmed valid. The retest will be online.

Among those retesting are about 250 students from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh linked to a NEET UG leak investigation. All students from this school must retake the exam on July 19.

Other reasons for the retest include time loss during the exam and some students receiving question papers in the wrong language. After the retest, NTA aims to announce results by July 22.

Originally scheduled for May 15–24, the CUET UG exam faced delays, with the May 15 exam postponed in Delhi due to logistical issues. It eventually took place on May 19. Results, initially set for June 30, were delayed due to paper leak concerns involving other exams like NEET UG, UGC NET, and CSIR UGC NET.

CUET UG is the primary entrance exam for admission to many undergraduate programs across 46 Central universities, including Delhi University, Allahabad University, and Banaras Hindu University. This year, the exam was held in a hybrid format—both online and pen-and-paper—across multiple shifts.

It was announced that only a select group of approximately 1000 students would be eligible for this re-test. These students will be those whose grievances regarding the exam were deemed valid by the NTA.
