The sports fraternity has shaken as the Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar got accused in a murder case of a fellow 23-year-old wrestler. Kumar won several medals for India between 2012 and 2016. He has been recently arrested by the Delhi Police after being absconding for several days. Sushil also won 3 Commonwealth Games Gold medals.We have now come forward with a list of people involved in different crimes from across the world. Here are some well-known sportspersons involved in crime.Orenthal James Simpson nicknamed "The Juice", is an American former football running back, broadcaster, actor, advertising spokesman. He played professionally as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, he became the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season. He was accused of a criminal trial of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.1b041461d59737a56b97059742a32e6a.pngAdam Johnson, an English professional footballer who plays as a winger. A product of the Middlesbrough youth academy, he came to prominence after making his debut aged 17 in a UEFA Cup match. Johnson was arrested and charged with sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. Tyson is considered one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. In 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison, although he was released on parole after three years.29fa40c97225e44d889cc9478b310848.pngHe was an American footballer and convicted murderer. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. Hernandez was charged with two previous murders and implicated in the shootings of three other people in two separate incidents dating back to his college days. He was found dead in his prison cell on April 19, 2017.8a012b4140feeb4884a45b5e4ef20909.pngU.S. track-and-field star Tim Montgomery won a silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. And after setting a world record in 2002, the sprinter was dubbed “the fastest man in the world.” He was charged with using illegal performance-enhancing drugs by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Montgomery was indicted and arrested on fraud charges for his alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme.65ffa39e1a9309f23161e08d0bd223a7.pngWhen it comes to football, Hughes was always remembered as a skilful striker, but as he was convicted of causing death by harsh driving, his career was put on hold. He was sentenced to six years imprisonment on November 23rd 2003.The couple in the other car was killed narrowly escaping with their lives. Hughes was accused of driving like a Psyche in wet road conditions. He handed himself to the police after 36 hrs of crime.
