Following the second meeting that took place between wrestling protesters and Union sports ministry, 5 major decisions have been taken.

According to Union ministry, it has been decided that an oversight committee will be formed & names for which will be announced tomorrow. The committee will complete its investigation in 4 weeks & will thoroughly probe all the allegations that have been leveled against WFI & its chief.

Agreeing to Union sports minister, Wrestler Bajrang Punia said that Union Sports minister listened to our demands and has assured us that a proper investigation will be done. He further thanked him and said that they are hopeful that a fair probe will be done, and announced that they are calling off protest.

Amid nationwide support mounted for protesters and taking a cue from the fact that there was only demand that echoed, Sack WFI, the ministry further announced that Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will step aside till oversight committee investigates issue, and put an interim halt to the functioning of federation.

While witnessing the intensity of charges, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced the formation of a seven-member committee to probe the allegations of sexual harassment against Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

This came hours after the core group protesters, World Championship medallists Vinesh Phogat, Deepak Punia and Olympics podium finishers Ravi Dahiya, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, wrote to IOA’s president PT Usha, asking for action against Singh and the federation.

This all started when Indian wrestling champions broke their silence and came out, imposing some serious allegations against their governing body, Wrestling Federation of India.

Among the protesters some of them were the World wrestling champions who levelled some serious allegations against Wrestling Federation of India's Chief.

The serious allegations that have been levelled by them against the federation's Chief had sent shockwaves across the entire country. Shockingly, some of the charges were sexual harassment to female players and that too by none other than the federation's chief Brij Bhushan.

Adding more to the charges was the fight against the basic rights, as they also alleged how they had been deprived of having good coaches at their practices.

Massive Impact as the protests garnered nationwide support which later on compelled the too guns to intervene and take the matter in their hands.
