MS Dhoni jogs away in hilarious gesture after pitch invader tries to touch his feet

JJ News Desk

A fan would run to the field to touch the feet of MS Dhoni and the CSK star had a hilarious reaction. The incident occured during the final over of the GT vs CSK match as a fan evaded the security in the Narendra Modi stadium and made his way to meet Dhoni. The CSK star would have a reaction that would have the fans laughing.

Dhoni imitated that he was jogging away from the fan in slow motion before going to meet him. The fan proceeded to fall at Dhoni's feet before being escorted off the field. Dhoni was batting at that time and had hit two sixes in the over of Rashid as CSK's defeat was all but confirmed by that point. The last bit of Dhoni magic was enough to send the fans back home happy. You can see Dhoni's interaction with the fan in the video below:

Dhoni had scored 26 off 11 balls against GT, but it wasn't enough as the home side won the match by 35 runs.

GT had posted a big total against CSK thanks to hundreds from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan. The duo put on 210 runs for the first wicket as GT would end up scoring 231 runs in their 20 overs. The CSK chase had the worst possible start as they were reduced to 10 for 3 within 3 overs.

Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali steadied the ship for Chennai, but the wickets of both men spelled the end of the chase. Dhoni came into bat with the equation stacked against CSK and decided to provide a fine finish to the game.

He produced a one-handed six against Mohit Sharma that sent the crowd into raptures.

He followed this with two more in the final over and a boundary. CSK and Dhoni will next be in action against RR on Sunday, May 12.
