India to gear up the cricket world with the T20 Asia Cup 2025

Asia Cup Men’s Title 2025 will be hosted by India as per the revelation of the Asia Cricket Council. The match will be played in a T20 format and will surpass the ODI.

As per the revelation of the Asian Cricket Council on Saturday, with the invitation of the Express of Interest document, India will host the men’s Asia Cup titles in the coming year 2025. The match will be played in a T20 format. EOI has invited interested parties to submit their EQI document for sponsorship rights for the years 2024–2027. Meanwhile, the 2023 Asia Cup was hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka and was executed in a 50-over format.

Moreover, the 2027 version of the men's Asia Cup will replace the format of the ODI and will be hosted by Bangladesh. These two tournaments will involve six teams: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan. Perhaps the sixth team will be selected through the qualifying 13 matches. Another edition of the women's Asia Cup, which includes 15 matches, will also be played in the same T20 format as the men's titles. The 2024 women’s Asia Cup ended in Dambulla on Sunday, where Sri Lanka achieved their title by defeating India with eight wickets in the final. In this period, a total four editions of the Under-19 Men's Asia Cupof the Under-19 Men's Asia Cup will be held, each consisting of 15 matches.

The former Indian player, Abhishek Nayar (assistant coach, India), has left Pallekele to reach Colombo in order to supervise Indian players who arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday to lead the ODI series, which was being hosted by Sri Lanka. The ODI series is all set to start from August 2nd onwards in Colombo, including the overall three matches at R. Premadasa Stadium.
