Former Karnataka cricketer K Hoysala dies of heart attack on the field at 34

In a shocking turn of events, former Karnataka cricketer K Hoysala died of a heart attack while on the field, celebrating his side's win over Tamil Nadu.

In an unfortunate incident that has recently come to light, former Karnataka cricketer K Hoysala (34) suffered a fatal heart attack after a match in the ongoing Aegis South Zone tournament.

The incident occurred after Karnataka's match against Tamil Nadu in the competition at the RSI cricket ground in Bengaluru. After Karnataka's victory, while celebrating with the team, Hoysala fell unconscious on the field due to severe chest pain.

He was promptly taken to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru by ambulance, but sadly, he succumbed to a heart attack en route to the hospital. This tragic event unfolded on Thursday, February 22, and its details emerged on the evening of February 23.

A middle-order batter and bowler, Hoysala represented the Karnataka team in the under-25 category. He also played in the Karnataka Premier League.

According to Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, the cricketer was brought in dead and are awaiting the report after the postmortem.

"Hoysala was brought in dead, mostly due to a heart attack. We have completed the postmortem and are awaiting the report," said Dr. Kumar.
