Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Ram Lalla idol's 'parisar pravesh' to take place today

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Preparations for the significant 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, are currently underway and will continue until January 21. The grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to be the chief guest. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Ram Mandir trust) anticipates the attendance of over 7,000 individuals, including politicians, industrialists, saints, and celebrities for the momentous occasion. Additionally, nearly 100 representatives from various countries are expected to participate in the consecration ceremony. The installation of all the golden doors in the 'Garbhgriha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar' has been completed, as announced by the temple trust on Monday. Notably, the Ram Lalla sculpture, crafted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, has been chosen for installation at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir.

'People will boycott them': Union minister's dig at Opposition bloc for boycotting Ram Temple ceremony

Union minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday took a dig at the Congress and the other constituents of the INDIA opposition bloc that are keeping away from the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, saying people might boycott them again for this decision.

Accompanied by Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, Thakur took part in cleaning the Valmiki temple premises here, ahead of the "pran pratishtha" ceremony at Ayodhya on January 22, under the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) "Swachhata Sewa" programme.

"They boycotted the new Parliament building and the prime minister's address and people boycotted them. Now, they think they can boycott the pran pratishtha ceremony, but people might boycott them again," the senior BJP leader told reporters.

Sharing the video on X, he wrote, "As the nation awaits 22nd January with great enthusiasm, one of the people who will be missed is our beloved Lata Didi. Here is a 'shlok' she sung. Her family told me that it was the last 'shlok' she recorded."

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Rituals to continue till January 21

The lead-up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22 began with rituals at the temple complex on Tuesday.

These rituals will continue until January 21. On January 22, the essential rites for the 'Pran Pratishtha' (consecration) of the Ram Lalla idol will take place, as informed by temple trust general secretary Champat Rai to reporters on Monday.

"The 'anushthan' has started and will go on until January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony. Eleven priests are performing the rituals, invoking all the 'devis and devtas' (goddesses and gods)," explained Ram temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das.
