Apple kicked off its "special event" where it revealed the next in its flagship lineup of smartphones – the iPhone 15 series.

The launch event took place at the Steve Jobs Theatre in California's Cupertino on Tuesday, 12 September, and was a pre-recorded presentation.

Since the Steve Jobs-era, keynote events organised by the big tech company have become more than a mere showcase of its latest gizmos and gadgets, crossing over into pure entertainment.

For the first time in Apple's history, the made-in-India units of the iPhone 15 will reportedly be available for purchase on the same day as the China-made units of the smartphone, Bloomberg reported.

Apple Introduces Apple Watch 9 Series

Apple's Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams introduced the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at the company's Wonderlust event on Tuesday.

It has a CPU comprising 5.6 billion transistors, a GPU that’s 30 percent faster, and a four-core neural engine. Directions to Siri via the Apple Watch Series 9 will be processed on-device and will enable precision-finding of your iPhone too.

The company said that it worked with Nike on the environment-friendly and recyclable wristband of the new Apple Watch Series 9. It is reportedly Apple's first carbon-neutral product.

All new Apple iPhone 15 Series Unveils

The iPhone 15 is here. In a major upgrade, the smartphone has a 48 Megapixel main camera and improved zoom quality with 2x telephoto optical quality.

The iPhone 15 is powered by the powerful A16 Bionic chip with a 16-core neural engine. It has a ceramic shield and is dust as well as water resistant.

Apple also announced additional capabilities of the Dynamic Island such as tracking deliveries, etc.

In a significant new design change, the iPhone 15 ditches the Lighting port and has a USB-C charging port instead. This means that users will likely have to buy all-new charging cables, if they don't have a USB-C cable already.

The iPhone 15 will cost $799 (125 GB) while the iPhone 15 Plus will cost $899.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are made out of a titanium alloy, the same one used in NASA's Mars Rover.
