Apple has officially launched the iPhone 16 series in India and other global markets, introducing significant upgrades to the standard iPhone 16 models, which are expected to attract buyers. The iPhone 16 Pro models have also arrived with notable changes compared to previous versions. iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max: India Prices and Sale Information
The iPhone 16 starts at $799 (approximately Rs 67,000), while the iPhone 16 Plus is priced at $899 (around Rs 75,500). The iPhone 16 Pro is available starting at $999 (around Rs 83,870) for the 128GB model, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at $1,199 (around Rs 1 lakh) for 256GB. These are US prices.
In India, the iPhone 16 is priced at Rs 79,900, with the iPhone 16 Plus at Rs 89,900. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will cost Rs 1,44,900.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series will begin on September 13 at 5:30 PM in India, with the first sale set for September 20.

Design and Display
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature "aerospace-grade aluminum" with a new colour-infused backglass. Available in ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black, the iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus offers a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both models support 2000 nits of peak brightness and can dim to 1 nit in dark environments.
Apple has added the Action Button to standard models, allowing quick access to features like voice memos, song identification, and translations. It can also be customized for shortcuts or in-app functions, such as unlocking a car with the FordPass app.
The new camera control feature enables users to adjust settings by sliding a finger on the screen. The camera control button, made of sapphire glass, opens the camera with a single press, takes a photo with a second press, and records video when held. Powered by the A18 chipset using second-gen 3nm technology, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a 6-core CPU with 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. Apple claims the A18 offers 30% faster performance than the A16 Bionic in the iPhone 15, along with 17% more system memory bandwidth.
Camera Specifications
The iPhone 16 now has a 48MP main camera that combines 48MP and 12MP photos into clearer 24MP images. It includes a 2x telephoto zoom and a faster f/1.6 aperture for better low-light photography. The camera also supports 4K60 video recording with Dolby Vision HDR, and the 12MP ultra-wide camera allows 2.6x more light for improved photos.
