Union Minister Rajnath Singh to head BJP's election manifesto committee

The BJP announced the party's manifesto committee for the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday.

It said that Union Minister Rajnath Singh would head the committee and Union Ministers Nirmal Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal would be the convenor and co-convenor respectively.

The 27-member list released by the BJP also includes the names of the recently elected Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav as well. The party has also appointed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as a member of the election manifesto committee.

Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dharmendra Pradhan, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Kiren Rijiju, Rajeev Chandrashekhar and Smriti Irani have also been appointed as the members of the election manifesto committee by the BJP.

The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1 and the results will be declared on June 4.
