Security breach at Trump's Pennsylvania rally again as man storms media gallery

JJ News Desk

Former US President Donald Trump's rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, saw a major security breach after an unidentified man stormed into the media gallery on Friday, AP reported. The man was immediately surrounded by police and was subdued with a taser as Trump remarked, "Is there anywhere that's more fun to be than a Trump rally?"

The incident comes weeks after Trump survived an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A bullet grazed Trump's ear even as one person died in the incident, prompting tightening of security at political events ahead of the US presidential polls.

The incident happened as the Republican presidential nominee accused media outlets of "unfavourable coverage" and attacked CNN over its recent interview with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris.

The man jumped over a bicycle rack ringing the media area and began climbing the stage where television reporters and cameras were stationed. People near him tried to pull him down and were soon joined by police officers. He was swiftly brought down and subdued with a taser before being escorted out.

Minutes later, another person in the crowd was handcuffed and taken out of the arena during the event, which was hosted by the far-right group 'Moms for Liberty'. However, it is not clear if it was related to the initial security breach incident.
