The Delhi Police have granted permission for INDIA bloc's mega rally which will be held on March 31 at the Ramleela Maidan to protest against Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi liquor policy case. Thirteen parties, part of the Opposition alliance, will be part of the rally where leaders like Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge will be in attendance, according to sources.

Kalpana Soren, the wife of jailed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also address the rally, said the sources. Hemant Soren was arrested in January by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged land scam case shortly after he resigned as the Jharkhand Chief Minister.

Other leaders of the INDIA bloc who will attend the rally include veteran politician Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien, CPM leader Sitaram Yechury, among others, sources told India Today TV.

The rally will be held under the banner 'Tanashahi Hatao, Loktantra Bachao' (Remove dictatorship, save democracy), as per sources.

The mega rally was announced by the INDIA bloc on March 24, days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in the Delhi liquor policy case. He was arrested by the ED on March 21 under the anti-money laundering law after searches at his official residence in Delhi.
