The Election Commission of India (ECI) has received a complaint against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'infiltrators' remark made against Muslims during a rally in Rajasthan's Banswara on April 21, poll body sources said. The complaint is under consideration, it added.

PM Modi, in a scathing attack on the Congress on Sunday, said, "The Congress manifesto says they will calculate the gold with mothers and sisters, get information about it and then distribute that property. They will distribute it to whom - Manmohan Singh's government had said that Muslims have the first right on the country's assets."

"Earlier, when their (Congress) government was in power, they had said that Muslims have the first right on the country's assets. This means to whom will this property be distributed? It will be distributed among those who have more children."

"It will distributed to the infiltrators. Should your hard-earned money go to the infiltrators? Do you approve of this?" he said.

"Do you accept this? Does the government have a right to seize your property? Gold is not for show off, it is linked to women's self-respect. Her mangalsutra is linked to her dreams. You want to snatch it?" PM Modi said, adding that the Congress is now "in the grip of urban Naxals".

On Monday, a delegation of Congress leaders met the Election Commission and handed over complaints against the Prime Minister, urging them to take action against him for his 'redistribution of wealth' speech. Congress claimed that the Prime Minister was lying and was creating a divide between Hindus and Muslims.

The party alleged that PM Modi's "redistribution of wealth" remark made at the Rajasthan poll rally was "divisive" and "malicious", adding that the Prime Minister was using religion to ask voters to refrain from voting for the Congress.
