No court relief for Brij Bhushan Singh in plea to set aside sex harassment case

No immediate relief for Brij Bhushan Singh, High Court to hear plea against sexual harassment case on Sept 26

JJ News Desk

The Delhi High Court on Thursday pulled up BJP leader and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over his plea seeking to set aside the sexual harassment case filed against him by women wrestlers.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna questioned Singh's decision to file a single plea challenging both the order framing charges against him and the entire proceedings.

The court orally remarked, "There can't be an omnibus order on everything. If you wanted to quash the order on charge, you could have come. Once the trial has started, this is nothing but an oblique way."

This is a developing story. It will be updated.
