NEET paper leak: CBI arrests 2 involved in stealing, circulating paper

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday arrested two more people for allegedly stealing and circulating the question paper of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG.

The arrested, identified as Pankaj Kumar from Patna in Bihar and Raju Singh from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, were involved in the NEET paper leak scam.

Pankaj Kumar is a part of the paper leak mafia and allegedly stole the NEET-UG question papers, while Raju allegedly helped him in circulating the question paper.

Notably, the CBI had arrested nine people in the NEET paper leak case, one each in connection with alleged manipulation in Gujarat's Latur and Godhra, and one from Dehradun in connection with a general conspiracy.

The CBI also got has the custody of 13 other accused, including Rocky alias Rakesh Ranjan, the kingpin in the case, from Bihar on July 12.

The CBI took over the investigation following a nationwide outburst by students over alleged irregularities in the entrance exam. The probe agency has registered six FIRs in the case so far.
