JJ News Desk

The canopy outside Rajkot airport terminal in Gujarat collapsed amid heavy rain on Saturday.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A video on social media showed airport officials on the spot of the canopy collapse.

The incident happened at the passenger pickup and drop area outside the terminal.

This comes a day after a similar incident at Delhi airport's Terminal 1 claimed the life of one person and injured some others.

On Friday, the weather office said a cyclonic circulation is active over south Gujarat, bringing widespread rains in parts of the state.

The weather department also said the wet spell will continue for the next five days.

For Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'yellow alert' for south Gujarat, predicting the possibility of heavy showers.
