A five-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by two men in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district on Thursday, September 19, police said.

The incident came to light on September 26, when the boy's health deteriorated. On being questioned about the injury marks on his body, he narrated the entire incident to his family members.

According to the complaint of the child's family, the accused, identified as Arsh and Junaid, took the boy from his home and then gang-raped him on a nearby farm. Two goat herders, Rizwan and Alfez, who were present on the farm shot a video of the incident and shared it on the internet.

The accused also thrashed and abused the family members of the child when they went to their home to complain about the incident. They also threatened to kill the boy's family members before fleeing from the scene, the complaint mentioned.

Upon receiving a complaint from the family members of the boy, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed under sections 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional assault) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and sections of the Pocso Act.

Speaking about the case, a senior official of the Hapur Police said that several teams have been constituted to nab the accused.

"The boy's family has made serious allegations against four individuals. A case has been registered based on the complaint. Teams have been formed to arrest the accused, and they will be apprehended soon," Inspector Vijay Kumar of the Hapur Police said.
