The FIR filed in connection with the alleged assault of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal reveals disturbing details of abuse and the sequence of events that took place at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence on May 13. As per the FIR, Maliwal alleged how Kejriwal's personal assistant and aide Bibhav Kumar slapped her 7–8 times and repeatedly kicked her in her stomach and pelvis as she pleaded for him to stop and mentioned that she was on her periods.

The former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief said the gruesome act took place inside the drawing room of Arvind Kejriwal's house on May 13 at around 9 am. Maliwal said the Delhi Chief Minister was present at his residence during the time of the incident. However, Kejriwal has not been named in the FIR.

The AAP MP said she was sitting in the drawing room when Bibhav Kumar barged in and started screaming at her without any provocation and started abusing her. "How can you not listen to us? What do you think, you despicable woman? We will teach you a lesson," Maliwal quoted Kumar as saying.

Maliwal alleged that the horrendous acts of abuse started thereafter, and she was slapped 7–8 times by Kumar. "I felt absolutely numb and shocked and was screaming for help over and over again," she said as per the FIR. The AAP leader said Kumar then dragged her and pulled her by her shirt.

"I landed on the floor while hitting my head on the centre table. I was constantly screaming for help but no one came," she said.

The cycle of abuse did not stop and Bibhav then kicked her repeatedly in her chest, stomach and pelvis area, Maliwal claimed. "My shirt was coming up, but he still continued to assault me," she said.

Maliwal said Kejriwal's aide did not relent even when she repeatedly told him that she was on her periods and was in "unbearable pain". "However, he attacked me with full force again and again," Maliwal said.

Maliwal said she eventually managed to free herself and called the police. She claimed that Bibhav kept threatening her, saying he "shall see to it" and he would "bury her". The AAP leader claimed that Bibhav then left the room and came back with security personnel working at the main gate of the CM's residence. She was then asked to leave the premises.

A video has emerged that shows Swati Maliwal's heated argument with security personnel at Arvind Kejriwal's residence. Disclaimer: India Today cannot confirm the authenticity of this video.

"I was in a terrible state of shock at this unprovoked attack. I was deeply traumatised," Maliwal said as per the FIR. Maliwal claimed she then took an auto and went to the Civil Lines police station to report the matter.

"I was having severe cramps... Due to extreme trauma, not wanting to politicise the incident, I left the police station without filing a written complaint," she further said.

Calling the incident one of the most difficult times of her life, Maliwal said her arms were sore, and her abdomen was paining. She also said that she was having difficulty walking.

The AAP leader further said she was "totally shattered" and distraught that someone could display such "goonda behaviour".

"My situation is exacerbated by the fact that, having worked all my life for women's issues and having helped lakhs of women get justice, I ended up being brutally beaten by a person whom I have known for long," Maliwal said in the FIR.

On Friday, Maliwal underwent a medical check-up at AIIMS, Delhi, that lasted for over three hours. The AAP MP has suffered internal injuries to her face, as per a medico-legal case report, sources said.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has intensified its search for Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar. Police sources said Kumar could be in Amritsar
