Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to a three-day CBI custody on Wednesday in connection with the liquor policy case. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court, while granting Kejriwal's custody to the probe agency, also accepted his request for some concessions during the custody period.
During custody, Kejriwal will be allowed to retain his spectacles, take prescribed medication, eat home-cooked food, keep a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, and meet his wife and relatives for one hour daily.
The AAP supremo told the court that he read the Gita every evening before going to sleep.
The Chief Minister also requested that he be provided a belt as he had to hold his pants while going to Tihar Jail, which he found "embarrassing". However, Special Judge Amitabh Rawat did not grant this request.
Kejriwal will be produced before the court by 7 pm on June 29.
Kejriwal, who is already in Tihar Jail in connection with a money laundering case, was formally arrested by the CBI on Wednesday.
