JJ News Desk

In a heartbreaking incident that has captured the internet's attention, an aspirant for the UPSC Prelims examination was denied entry into her exam centre in Gurugram due to arriving late. A video showing her parents' emotional reactions has since gone viral, sparking an online discussion.

The video shows the aspirant's mother in an unconscious state while her father wails in despair. Amid the distress, the aspirant is heard trying to console her father, saying, “Papa, please have water and calm down. Why are you behaving like this? I will appear for the exam next year. It’s not a big deal.”

The father's grief is evident as he laments, “Ek saal gaya baabu hamara (A year has been wasted).” To which she reassuringly responds that she will appear for the exam next year and crack it.

“Heartbreaking video. Condition of Parents who came along with their daughter for the UPSC Prelims exam today, as their daughter was not allowed for being late. Exam starts at 9: 30 am, and they were at the gate at 9 am but were not allowed in by the principal of S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sector 47, Gurugram,” reads the caption.

While some commented that the aspirants should abide by the rules, others commented on how the scene was heartbreaking.

This incident is a reminder of the immense emotional and psychological toll that competitive exams can take on candidates and their families.
