Video: Malaysian Navy helicopters collide mid-air, 10 killed

Two helicopters in Malaysia collided during a rehearsal for a Royal Malaysian Navy parade, resulting in the deaths of all 10 crew members aboard. The accident occurred at the Lumut naval base in Perak.

At least 10 people were killed after two Navy helicopters collided mid-air in Malaysia. The incident happened at 9.32 am, Tuesday morning (0132 GMT), at the Lumut Naval Base.

According to the details, the collision happened as the choppers were rehearsing for a Royal Malaysian Navy parade.

Videos on social media showed the moment of collision at the Lumut Naval Base.

In a statement, the Navy confirmed the death of all 10 crew members aboard the aircraft involved in the accident, news agency Reuters reported.

"All victims were confirmed dead at the scene and sent to the Lumut army base hospital for identification," the Navy said.
