Twitter Inc. has shut down two of its three offices in India and asked its staff to work from home. The move is reportedly part of Elon Musk’s mission to cut costs and get the struggling social media service in the black.

As per sources, Twitter closed its Indian offices in the political center New Delhi and financial hub of Mumbai with only three people remaining in Twitter's India Team, including Country Lead and two people covering North, East and South and West regions. All the three will continue to work from home.

The American social media company headquartered in San Francisco, California fired more than 90% of its roughly 200-plus staff in India late last year.

However, Twitter continues its operation in India from its office in the southern tech hub of Bengaluru which mostly houses engineers, according to a Bloomberg report. The Bengaluru office staff engineers mostly report directly to the US office and are not part of the India team.
