A pregnant woman who was kicked out of a bus by her husband died in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul district on Sunday. The man responsible for his wife's death has been arrested by the police.

Valarmathi, 19, had been married to Pandian, 24, from Vembarpatti for eight months. The couple was travelling from Dindigul to Ponnamaravathi in a suburban government bus.

Reports suggest that Pandian, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, engaged in an altercation with Valarmathi, who was five months pregnant.

Matters escalated and in a fit of rage, Pandian kicked his wife out of the moving bus near Kanavaipatti, leading to her death.

The police reached the scene and recovered Valarmathi's body. Her remains were then shifted to the Dindigul Government Hospital for further examination through autopsy.

A case has been filed in connection with the incident, and Pandian has been arrested. Further investigation is underway in the case.
