The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information about the bomber in Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe blast case.

In a statement, the anti-terror agency said the informant's identity would be kept confidential.

On March 1, a bomb blast rocked Bengaluru's popular Rameshawaram Cafe in the Whitefield area, injuring at least ten people.

The explosion was triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which was discovered in a bag left inside the cafe by a man.

CCTV videos from the area showed the suspect, wearing a mask and clad in a grey t-shirt and cap, entering the cafe.

The man ordered some food and spent around nine minutes inside the cafe before leaving the place.

He left behind a bag which had the IED that caused the blast.

According to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, the bomber is aged around 28 to 30 years.

Besides the NIA, the Bengaluru Police lodged a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act in connection with the blast.
