Pune Police's 'prize' for men who performed dangerous stunt on roof of moving car

Pune Police shared a post on X stating that they came across two men doing a stunt on a road in Pimpri-Chinchwad, about 15 km away from Pune. They posted a video featuring a boy who was sitting on the roof of a moving car. The police also shared a picture showing the consequences faced by the duo.

Calling the act as "stuntbaazi", the police, in their post, shared the video of a man doing a stunt on the roof of a moving car on Telco Road, as the vehicle steered through a busy road.

As per the post, the police awarded a "prize" to the perpetrators by registering a case against them under sections 279 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 184, 119, and 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The vehicle used in the stunt has also been seized.

In the post, the police also highlighted that engaging in such activities can have severe consequences, and public spaces are not meant for such stunts. Strict actions will be taken in accordance with applicable laws to deter such activities in the future, the police said.
