Over 40 children injured after bus overturns in Haryana

A Haryana Roadways bus overturned in Panchkula district, injuring over 40 school children they were travelling on. The accident occurred near Pinjore and the cause was being investigated by police.

Over 40 school children were injured after a Haryana Roadways bus they were travelling on overturned near Pinjore in Panchkula district. The accident occurred likely due to overspeeding by the bus driver.

The accident occurred near Naulta village in the district and the injured were brought to Pinjore Hospital and Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula.

A woman, who was also injured in the accident, was referred to PGI Chandigarh in critical condition.

Police arrived at the accident spot to investigate the incident.

Overloading of the bus and the bad condition of the road are also said to have caused the accident.
